1. World Book Day

World Book Day doesn’t just have to be a reason for school kids to dress up, it can be a day where we celebrate literacy, authors, bookshops and libraries. It can also be an opportunity to be assertive in improving literacy rates world-wide so that we can all enjoy the simple joys of reading, and it’s power to enlighten and motivate.

At Dropout, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of our favourite books and authors, some of whom we have proudly featured on our website. To be able to read and have access to books is a privilege that we seldom appreciate, so use this day as a prompt to start or finish that book that you’ve been planning on reading (or even writing). Also, if you get a minute, have a look online to see how you can help improve the rate of literacy world-wide. We have left some useful links in the ‘Bibliography’ section of this article.

2. Ollie & Tom

Happy World Book Day! Here are a few book suggestions from us...

3. Any recommendations?

We want you to share your reading suggestions with us! Whether you suggestion is just a good read, or maybe even something that is suitable for a feature on our site, let us know via email, or via any of our social media accounts. Thank you.
